About us...people always ask the question, “What religion are you?” At
Keep the Faith Ministry, we like
to be called what God has called us in the scriptures. Take the following
conversation as an example. If you happen to say, "I am
Apostolic Pentecostal", or "I am Baptist", or "I am Catholic", the person talking
to you may ask you, "Can that be proven?" The answer would be, "No." God has never called
anyone’s faith to be nothing other than holiness.
We believe and teach only what is written in the holy scriptures, which
holy men of old wrote as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
We believe that there is only one God who is infinite in power, holy in
nature, attributes, and purposes, as well as omniscient and omnipresent.
We believe and teach that He is revealed to us as Father in creation,
Son in redemption, and Holy Ghost indwelling the believer.
We believe and teach that in Jesus dwelleth all the fullness of the
Godhead bodily, for it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness
dwell.
We believe and teach in the virgin birth; that Jesus was both human and
divine; He is God manifested in the flesh.
We believe and teach in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
We believe that He sent back His spirit that is still filling the hearts
of those that seek Him even today.
We believe and teach that one must repent of their sins, be baptized in
water (immersed) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins, and God promises that you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
We believe and teach that we are saved by grace through faith not of
works lest any man should boast.
We believe and teach that the scriptures teach us in Leviticus 10:10
that there should be a difference between holy and unholy, unclean and clean
-
that we should live a holy sanctified life.
We believe and teach faith; that without it, it is impossible to please God;
that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Faith begins
where the will of God is known.
Isaiah 62:12 says, “And they shall call them, The holy people, The
redeemed of the LORD:"
1 Peter 1:15-16 says, “But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye
holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, be ye holy, for I
am holy.”
Deuteronomy 7:6 says, “For thou art a holy people unto the Lord thy God: the
Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.”
Habakkuk 2:4 says, "...the just shall live by his faith."
Romans 1:17 says, “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith
to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith.”
The following are the three ways to receive faith:
The measure of faith - Romans 12:3
By hearing, (not having heard) - Romans 10:17
Impartation, or laying on of hands - II Timothy 1:6
The Bible tells us in II Corinthians 5:7, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." We believe and teach that God has given us all things that pertain to life
and godliness, and that we have a part to play in righteousness. God is not
going to do everything for us. He has done His part. Have you done yours?
